Our employees are not only part of history, they’re making history.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking a Machining Process Engineer to support our Clearfield Case Value Stream Process Engineering team at our Clearfield, Utah Plant.Role Description & Responsibilities:Developing, testing, and improving machining manufacturing processesSupporting rocket motor case machining processes on the shop floorPerforming cause and corrective action activities to permanently eliminate defects using root cause analysis toolsWorking with concurrent engineering team to create engineering, planning and other process support documentsAuthoring, updating and reviewing shop floor planningIdentifying tooling needs and working with tooling group to design, qualify, and implement new toolsPreparing and presenting technical presentations to the VSET, leadership, review boards, and customers for review and approvalPerforming table top reviewsUsing SPC tools to ensure process controlTroubleshooting production/tooling/facility issues and implementing improvements and solutionsSkills & Qualifications:Machining and/or NC programming experience (hands-on or engineering experience)CAD experienceVericut experienceSelf-starter who takes initiative to complete tasks and assignments with little supervisionGood problem-solving skills and strong oral and written communication skillsGood organization and multi-tasking skillsExperience in lean manufacturing techniquesBasic Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience interpreting drawings, solid models, and specificationsExperience writing shop planning (preferred)Strong interpersonal and communication skillsProcess Controls (SPC)Education/CertificationsB.S.

degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or other technical engineering discipline with 9 years’ experience or M.S.

degree with 7 years’ experience.Salary Range: 108376 162564Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
