Digital Media Specialist FT (SLC, UT)

This is a Full-time position in Salt Lake City, UT posted March 7, 2021.

*Current WGU Employees must submit an internal application before 02/18/2021 to be considered for the position* Position Summary The Digital Media Specialist will be responsible for creating, managing, and executing paid online media campaigns (including social, video, display, and retargeting), optimization of those media activities, and reporting on performance KPI’s and goals.

The Digital Media Specialist will consult with the Mid-Funnel Media Manager to align the strategy and plan for their assigned audiences, as well as implement tactics against those plans to achieve and surpass WGU’s full funnel market engagement goals.

The Digital Media Specialist will have at least 1-2 years of hands-on digital marketing experience with a track record of achieving excellent results in highly competitive markets by leveraging their advanced digital marketing skillsets.

Favored candidates will possess a strong innovative and analytical mindset with an understanding of all areas considered digital marketing, primarily across major display, video, and social platforms.

They will demonstrate a passion for digital marketing and be able to identify opportunities and trends in the marketplace.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Responsible for creating and managing paid display and video campaigns for specific college audiences and degree programs.

Responsible for optimizing and testing ad performance on a granular level.

Conduct bid management analysis and adjustments based on data.

Maintain and manage budget tracking and invoicing.

Assisting in report building, report development, data analysis and reviewing analytics for key opportunities.

Requesting creative as well as assisting in ideation of creative concepts and messaging along with the Digital Creative Director and Copy Writers.

Implement and manage audience nurturing lists and strategies across multiple digital marketing channels.

Write effective digital advertisements across video and social media that engage audiences and drive down funnel conversion in-line with lead generation efforts.

Manages and optimizes 3rd party media buys as required.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Demonstrated experience and knowledge of digital marketing in social media and display channels.

Experience with daily account management across Google Ads and Social platforms.

A self-starter that can get the job done without constant supervision.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Data, analytics, and developing reports should be exciting to you.

Must be able to write and proofread for spelling and grammatical errors.

Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

Excellent communicator; able to thoughtfully prepare and present reports to other team members, C level and other management.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: 1-2 years digital marketing experience across Google Ads and/or Facebook Ads.

1-2 years active management of digital campaigns (social, display, remarketing, etc.).

Google or Adobe Analytics experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Solid knowledge of word processing, database management, and spreadsheet software, with the ability to construct and produce reports.
