Cyber Security Engineer – Strategic Deterrence Systems (SDS) with Security Clearance

The Missile and Weapon Systems (MWS) Product Security Engineering Capability is seeking an innovative Product Cyber Security Analysis and Engineering candidate for the Strategic Deterrence Systems (SDS) business in Ogden / Layton UT. The MWS Product Security team is responsible for the security, resiliency, and safety of all MWS products and services. This position is multi-disciplinary and includes activities in cyber and systems security analysis, engineering, protection, and on-going vulnerability management and mitigation. Successful candidates will highlight experience in working in team environments, supporting system development, integration and test. These systems cover information technology, as well as embedded systems, communications, and other non-IT elements. In addition to the specific program responsibilities of the SDS business area, the successful candidate will be joining the growing MWS Product Security Engineering Capability. You will be joining a team of advanced security engineers from across the Boeing Enterprise, that are jointly developing best practices, techniques and tools, and a community to draw upon to deliver best value to our customers. Primary Responsibilities: * Development of program protection and cybersecurity related deliverables * Perform recurring scanning, analysis, and STIG activity for systems * Engage with suppliers and analyze/assess their products and security related scans * Develop Plan of Action & Milestone (POAM) and ensure successful execution * Develop, sustain and deliver secure baselines and images for systems and equipment * Perform incremental adversity and threat analysis * Perform incremental analysis of systems, components, and suppliers for risks, vulnerabilities, and threats * Perform collaborative design & development with responsible engineers and suppliers * Support cyber threat intelligence activities * Support cyber risk assessments and the development of risk mitigation plans * Support and perform incident response and mitigation * Support and facilitate various Authority to Operate (ATO) packages including processing Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) related concerns * Prepare and execute to Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance plans including Control Correlation Identifier (CCI) consideration, and creation of necessary compliance documentation. This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance post start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Basic Qualifications (Required skills/experience) * BS in Computer Science or Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent is required * Two or more years of related engineering experience is required. * Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance post start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship Preferred Qualifications (Desired skills/experience): * Desire DOD 8570 IAT – Level II (Security+ or equivalent) certification for roles * An understanding and experience in IT and non-IT Product and Cybersecurity systems analysis, design, development, and testing. * Understanding of systems engineering, including: * Requirements, Concepts of Operations, and Use Cases * Development of Hardware and Software products * Integration and Unit Test * Verification and Validation * Testing, including Acceptance and Fielding Tests * Experience in applying RMF to products and solutions * Experience in STIG process, as well reviewing static code scan and network / host scan results from tools such as ACAS, Nessus, Coverity, Fortify, etc * Understanding and knowledge of Deterrence systems and mission is desirable * Understanding and knowledge of platforms and embedded systems, such as those found in missiles and aircraft * Ability to factor and communicate confidentiality, integrity and availability considerations in all phases of system development lifecycle * Current Top Secret Clearances strongly preferred. * Experience in working in a special access environment is preferred. Typical Education and Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation: This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
